Things to do in Colorado
The Butterfly Pavilion
Denver's Butterfly Pavilion is the nation's first "invertebrate zoo".
Inside you will find several rooms including a gift shop, a room full of non-butterfly insects (like spiders, scorpions, beetles, millepedes, etc), a huge jungle-like arboretum where the butterflies live, and a hallway with a massive display of different kinds of butterflies.
There's nothing like walking through the "jungle" and having one of these amazing creatures perch on your shoulder momentarily.
The Butterfly Pavilion is located on the northwest side of Denver at Highway 36 and 104th. They are open daily from 9-5. The cost as of January 2012 is $8.50 for adults, $6.50 for seniors 65+, and $5.50 for children 2-12 (1yr and under Free).

Wit's End Comedy Club
_Wit's End is the second oldest live stand-up comedy show located in the Denver & Boulder Metro Area.
Just off Highway 287 and 92nd Ave, it's easy to get to. There is plenty of dining in the area as well, although the club does have pub-style food available.
If you're interested, check with Mel or Shana because we sometimes have free admission.
We have been three times, and the last one on January 6th 2012 was by far the best stand up I've seen. I was in tears and my abs hurt from laughing.
